If you have an old Lotus Notes or Domino database, you can upload it to KEEP.WORKS and we will convert it for you.
- First you need to make sure that we can read the database. Do this by editing the Access Control List in Lotus Notes to have the Default entry have Manager access
- You also need to make sure that the database is not locally encrypted. When you create a new copy of a database using Lotus Notes, in the dialog, select the Encryption option and choose "Do not locally encrypt this database"
- You need to make sure that Default access allows the user to see all documents in the database.
- All scheduled agents must be disabled. This can be done from Domino Designer.
If you find that you are struggling with any of these issues, please do contact us and we can help you to migrate your data.
Once you have prepared your database, go to https://keep.works/importdatabase
If your database is one of the standard templates we support, then select that from the list.
Attach the file and click Submit. Remember, your database might be large, so this could take a while!
Once we have the file on our server, we'll check it to make sure we are able to convert it and then set off the conversion process. You'll get emails along the way letting you know progress. Depending on the size of the database this may take as little as ten minutes, or as much as several hours.
When the conversion has completed, you'll get sent an email that contains a link to open the database on KEEP.WORKS, or you can visit https://keep.works/selectdatabase
If there are any problems with the conversion, we will let you know. Depending on the error we will try our best to help you get the data migrated with as little pain as possible.
