Registration in LDC Via entails asking for organisational details as well as the more usual user email / password combination. This is because registering creates an “Organisation” record, as well as appropriate log-in details for the user.
Once registered as a new user, that individual automatically becomes the “super-user” for the newly-created organisation. Super-users have a number of privileges above those of normal users:
- Registering and managing other users
- Managing groups
- Accessing the API key for any user
-
They have access to all applications migrated by other users within the organisation
-
They can edit organisation details
-
They can set up and edit groups for use within LDC Via
- They can review API statistics (number of calls, etc.) at the organisation level
There are also some API calls that require super-user access in order to work. For instance:
Note that if necessary, super-users can also create additional super-users for their organisation.
