LDC Via is designed to import your Domino data from an internet facing Domino server, and then allow you to configure security, and access your data using a REST API.

To get started, you will need the following:

  • A Domino server (version 8.5.3 or later) that is internet facing and configured to enable the Domino Data Services
  • Domino databases that have been enabled to use the Domino Data Services

Once you have done this, log into LDC Via and go to the Database Migrator Page:

After clicking the Get Views button, if you have configured your server and database correctly, you will be presented with a list of views in the database, otherwise you will see an error message.

 

The migration process will begin. Depending on the size of the database this may take some time.

When the migration has completed, you will see a button that will take you to the Database Viewer Page.

The Database Viewer shows you all databases that have been migrated that you have access to. As Super User you can see everything in your organisation, you can also choose which databases other users can see. When you click on a database, it will expand and show you a list of "Collections" or document types in the database along with a count of documents in each Collection. This count is dependent on what documents you can see in the collection.

If the database is identified as a standard template (for example Discussion or Mail) then you will offered the option to open the database using that template.

After getting your data into LDC Via, you can start to play with our REST API
